Event Details

OFL has launched a new online book club, bringing together readers interested in discovering and discussing diverse literature. New titles each month will feature authors writing from their personal experiences in a marginalized group and encourage readers to gain a better understanding of the world around them.

New members welcome each month.  No obligation - participants may join in or opt out of any club meeting and discussions.

Meeting Dates & Selections:
  • January 21 at 7pm - Afterlife by Julia Alvarez
    The first adult novel in almost 15 years by the internationally bestselling author or In the Time of the Butterflies and How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents.  A funny, moving novel of loss and love... Alvarez crafts a moving portrait of the lengths people will go to help one another in moments of uncertainty.

  • February 18 at 7pm - The Night Watchman by Louise Erdrich
