Join us in a discussion about the popular series and meet local author and film contributor Michael Streissguth. Michael will share his experience contributing to this project and highlighting his favorite features in the series.

About Michael Streissguth:
Michael Streissguth has published eight books, among them Johnny Cash: The Biography and Outlaw: Waylon, Willie, Kris and the Renegades of Nashville.  He has written and directed three documentary films, including the award-winning Nighthawks on the Blue Highway, and he has worked for the past six years as an advisor on Ken Burns’ PBS documentary series Country Music.  His writing has appeared in outlets such as the Washington Post Magazine, Irish Times, Mojo, Living Blues, and the Journal of Country Music, and he frequently contributes to rollingstone.com.  His latest book—City on the Edge: Hard Choices in the American Rust Belt— will be published by SUNY Press in the fall of 2020.  He is a professor in the Department of Communications and Film Studies at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York.
