Event Details

Where would we all be without Google Maps? More than likely, hopelessly lost. From finding the best route, to avoiding traffic and tolls, learning about new destinations, or checking to see if your favorite library is still open, Google Maps is an indispensable tool. In this one-session class, OFL's Digital Services & Technology Librarian will provide an in-depth look at the service that changed the way we travel. Topics to be discussed include: general functionality; map views; directions and alternate routes; saved destinations; custom map creation; and more.

Patrons are encouraged to bring their own laptops or mobile devices with the Google Maps App installed. Please note that a Google account is not required to use Google Maps.
