Event Details

“Meditation” is a familiar one in today’s modern world, but what does it mean? How does one practice meditation, or mindfulness? In this 1.5 hour workshop, learn all about mindfulness and how it is practiced with a group of fellow learners. This workshop is open to anyone of any age, identity, and faith background. After the workshop we will have questions and answers with Dr. Rebecca.

Program presented by Dr. Rebecca. As a physical therapist, yoga teacher, and lifelong student of meditation, Dr. Rebecca is passionate about guiding others on their pathway toward wellness and healing. She has instructed yoga and meditation since 2014 and has taught programs locally with the YMCA, Upstate Medical University, Syracuse University, Syracuse Parks Department, Crouse Hospital, and several local studios. She has been interviewed in 55Plus, Syracuse.com, and while attending Upstate’s DPT program, was featured as a student with distinction. Dr. Rebecca took Jon Kabat-Zinn’s 8-Week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course in New York City in 2013 which has inspired much of her journey.
